Biography

Dr Jenny Parker is an experienced Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with over 18 years of practice within the NHS, as well as in specialist education and care settings. She currently leads a Neurodevelopmental service at North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT) and is a Senior Clinical Research Associate at Cambridge University’s Department of Psychiatry.

Dr Parker’s expertise in neuropsychiatry was formally recognised with her election as a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2021. She is deeply involved in national leadership, serving as an elected member of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Faculty Executive Committee and as the Neurodevelopmental Disorders representative on both the Royal College of Psychiatry Autism Group and the Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Special Interest Group.

Dr Parker actively leads clinical research projects at Cambridge University focusing on better understanding the needs of autistic children and their families. She is committed to improving practice standards through teaching and training. She delivers education across the health, social care, and education sectors, aiming to enhance understanding and management of neurodevelopmental conditions.

Dr Parker is dedicated to holistic, family-centred care that addresses both the mental health and neurodevelopmental needs of her young patients. She values interdisciplinary collaboration and strives for early, accurate diagnosis and tailored intervention.
