Biography

Dr Patricia Rios is a highly respected Honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist that worked in the NHS Hertfordshire and held an honorary position at Great Ormond Street Hospital, with over 30 years of experience supporting children, young people, and families affected by neurodevelopmental conditions. She specialises in the multidisciplinary assessment and management of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and associated co-morbidities.

Dr Rios is nationally and internationally accredited as a trainer for the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R) and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2), recognised as the gold standard in ASD assessment. She has built an outstanding reputation in private practice as the former Clinical Director of DATS, now known as The Assessment Team, delivering expert ASD and ADHD assessments across Hertfordshire and London.

Dr Rios is actively involved in clinical teaching and supervision within the NHS and independent practice. She delivers specialist training internationally on the use of the ADI-R and ADOS-2 and is committed to advancing the standards of neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention.

Dr Rios is committed to a patient-centred, evidence-based approach, ensuring that each child and family receives an individualised assessment and intervention plan. She integrates gold-standard diagnostic tools with relational and social skills training, using internationally recognised programs such as PEERS® and Social Thinking® to support young people in achieving their full potential.
