Our neurodevelopmental assessments are delivered by The Assessment Team, a leading team of senior experts in child and adolescent mental health. The assessment process is led by Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists, Dr Holan Liang, Dr Jenny Parker, and Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Dr Patricia Rios—three of the most respected specialists in the UK in the field of autism and ADHD in children.
Dr Holan Liang, Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, is a National Lead for Children and Young People’s Mental Health at NHS England. With over 20 years’ experience, she has worked at leading institutions including Great Ormond Street Hospital specialising in complex neurodevelopmental conditions and is Senior Clinical Research Associate at Cambridge University. Dr Patricia Rios is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience in neurodevelopmental assessment. An international trainer in ADI-R and ADOS-2, she is known for her clinical excellence and compassionate, child-centred approach.
Together, The Assessment Team offers unrivalled expertise and integrity in delivering accurate, in-depth assessments for autism and ADHD, grounded in both clinical practice and academic leadership.
Each assessment begins with a careful review of all available developmental, educational, and clinical information. Our team will spend time directly with your child and separately with you, as parents or caregivers, to understand your childʼs developmental history, current strengths and challenges, and how these are impacting their day-to-day functioning.
The Assessment Team uses gold-standard, internationally recognised diagnostic tools—including the ADOS-2 and ADI-R—and follows NICE guidelines to ensure that every assessment meets the highest standards of clinical excellence. With their depth of expertise, the team is also able to screen for and diagnose other neurodevelopmental conditions where appropriate, providing a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of each childʼs unique needs
